31st INTERNATIONAL MATERIALS RESEARCH CONGRESS (IMRC 2023)

Abstract

The International Materials Research Congress is organized by the Sociedad Mexicana de Materiales, working in partnership with the Materials Research Society, USA. This series of meetings organized annually offers an exciting multidisciplinary stage to present new directions in materials research and technology, as well as valuable opportunities to exchange ideas with some of the foremost experts in the field. It brings together scientists, engineers, students, representatives of industry, the public sector and other professional societies from Mexico and other countries, with an interest in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), new collaborations and scientific exchange, aiming at the advancement of MSE in general. The IMRC has become a leading conference with international recognition in the field of MSE, covering a wide range of symposium topics of interest to the materials research community at large, offering simultaneously different activities such as tutorials, plenary lectures, oral and poster presentations, joint meetings, workshops, special courses, and graduate student programs fair, among other special events. The MSE community participating in the IMRC has been growing steadily, averaging 1,763 attendees in the last five years before the Covid pandemic. The 2023 IMRC will include Plenary lectures; a Science, Technology and Society lecture; contributed oral and poster presentations, a joint ICAM-IUMRS Conference; a workshop, professional development courses, tutorial courses, technical sessions, a graduate schools student fair, SMMater-University Chapters, special events and a commercial exhibition.
