United States Marine Corps (USMC) M1A1 Laser Warning System (LWS) (Navy)
Abstract
Test a real time laser warning system for the M1A1 tank. The primary outputs are detect and characterize laser threats under all weather and battlefield conditions; provide 360 degree azimuth coverage and gives the tank crew the angle of arrival within +/- 1 degree; and increased survivability and save lives.
