SECNAV Projects (BCNR, CORD, Other) IT System Moderization
Abstract
CORB's eCase IT system replaces out-of-date systems and furthers CORB's digitization effort. The CAPS-II, CRSC, and BCNR programs are used by the Navy Clemency and Parole Board (NCPB), the Combat Related Special Compensation Board (CRSC), and the Board of Corrections of Naval Records (BCNR) to process and adjudicate approximately 17,200 cases per year. The current system defects have resulted in additional man-hours and reduced reporting functionality. This has created a longer manual process and hinders adequate statistical data from being retrieved. As a result, congressional inquiries take longer to satisfy and accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
