High Energy Laser Mobile Demonstrations (HELMD)
Abstract
This effort initially integrates a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) laser subsystem (then later a ruggedized higher power laser subsystem) into the existing mobile laser demonstrator platform along with the ruggedized BCS built under the HEL TD effort. The goal is to demonstrate and evaluate performance of a complete mobile high power laser weapon in a relevant environment.
