Active Blast Mitigation Environmental and Durability Validation
Abstract
This effort demonstrates mature sensor technology for an Active Blast Mitigation System (ABMS) into the MAPS Framework on a combat vehicle platform with improved countermeasure design for protection from blast events. ABMS will support a reduction of injuries caused from underbody blast events by providing a counterforce to the blast acceleration of the vehicle hull.
