Relay for Aerial to Non-line-of-sight Ground Environments (RANGE)

Abstract

This effort investigates the use of aerial platforms as communications relays ensuring communications coverage is maintained in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) environments, while considering communications resiliency such as anti-jam and low probability of detection. This effort will mature covert, multiband, and embedded antenna elements using new antenna materials for compact antenna aperture designs.
