Ultra Short Pulse Laser (USPL)

Abstract

This project will integrate, test and demonstrate an existing Government-owned Ultra Short Pulse Laser into an existing USPL test vehicle. The resultant system will prosecute the unique USPL susceptibility of Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Electro-Optic (EO) systems via associated physical effects generated by material interactions to include Radio frequency (RF), electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP), and white light super-continuum generation. This USPL Test Asset System (UTAS) will have the unique potential to develop into defensive and offensive weapons against multimode guided systems.
