Materials & Component Technologies for Energy Independence
Abstract
The effort develops technologies to substantially reduce the number of batteries required to accomplish dismounted Soldier/Squad mission objectives by developing more efficient power and thermal management for small systems and harvesting energy and alternative energy technologies thereby significantly reducing Soldier-borne load and logistics requirements for Soldier/Squad power and energy.
