Advanced Space Propulsion Technologies
Abstract
The advanced propulsion technologies program will examine and evaluate space propulsion technologies that will enable order of magnitude improvement in existing systems as well as new missions/capabilities in space. Technologies to be explored include new materials and new propellants, novel thruster and engine designs, and methods/processes to increase efficiency at lower cost. The program will conduct proof of concept risk reduction activities leading to potential on orbit demonstration of the most promising technologies.
