Advanced Soldier Sensors/Displays Technology for Dismounts

Abstract

This effort models, simulates, investigates, designs and develops novel low power, modular electro-optic / infrared (EO/IR) and explosive hazard (EH) technologies, displays, augmented reality approaches and aided/automatic target detection and recognition algorithms that enable improved Soldier maneuver and lethality through greater information fidelity and automated algorithms to increase Soldier probability of recognition/identification and tracking of all threats. This effort is coordinated with PE 0603118A (Soldier Lethality Advanced Technology), PE 0603462A (Next Generation Combat Vehicle Advanced Technology), PE 0603463A (Network C3I Advanced Technology), PE 0603465A (Future Vertical Lift Advanced Technology), and PE 0602145A (Next Generation Combat Vehicle Technology).
