High Operating Temperature - Mid-Wave Infrared (HOT MWIR)

Abstract

(U)The High Operating Temperature - Mid-Wave Infrared (HOT MWIR) program worked to establish technology for high-speed sampling and high-spatial resolution infrared focal plane arrays that operate in the mid-wave infrared without cryogenic cooling. The high sampling speed is required for both threat detection and for imaging from fast moving platforms. The program technology will transition via industry for applications such as multi-band mid-wave or micro-detectors.
