Abstract
Dual Purpose 25mm Ammunition for the Joint Strike Fighter will test the performance, reliability and safety of pre-production Norwegian Armor Piercing Explosive (APEX) 25mm rounds for US Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force aircraft application. The APEX projectile is a dual-use round for aircraft gun systems, which is reported to have greater penetration with a delay detonation and provides dual purpose lethality.
