Geospatial Data Standards

Abstract

Army geospatial data -- used in Army command and control systems, course of action analysis, mission rehearsal tools, simulators and simulations -- provide insight on how the physical environment will impact combat operations. The Army Geospatial Data Model (AGDM) involves synchronization of data dictionaries at Army and DoD levels so that geospatial data can be seamlessly transferred and viewed between Battle Command (BC) systems and at the national level to enable a Common Operating Picture (COP).
