Multi-Orbit Modem (MOM)

Abstract

This effort designs and develops Satellite Communications (SATCOM) ground terminal modem and management technology components to enable operation over multiple satellite constellations to increase performance and resiliency of wideband SATCOM in contested and congested electromagnetic environments. Modem components will include a software based terminal controller for modem management, repository of modem waveforms, and supporting network management. This effort develops resiliency through a flexible modem technology investigation and is complementary with Protected SATCOM efforts focused on antenna development.
