Development, demonstration, and transition of technologies to treat TBI. Preclinical demonstration of stem cell transplantation to repair and regenerate the injured brain. Preclinical demonstration of a candidate selective brain-cooling device that protects the brain and reduces death from severe TBI but without adverse effects from whole-body cooling.
