Embedded Deeply Integrated Guidance & Navigation Unit (eDIGNU)

Abstract

This effort built on previous High-G (gravitational force) micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and DIGNU research. The Embedded DIGNU incorporated the following: a next generation Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM); enhanced anti-jam (A/J) capability; full system-on-a-chip technology for processor and memory to reduce DIGNU size; more robust deep integration algorithms; and improved inertial performance. This task was conducted in two phases in order to enable the first generation technology to be evaluated while the second generation design was matured.
