Coastal Geosciences/Optics
Abstract
The goal of the Coastal Geosciences/Optics activity is to understand and predict the nearshore and coastal battlespace environment and its evolution. Studies address coupled phenomena affecting the hydrodynamical, geological, geophysical, and optical properties of the littorals through development of theory, predictive models and field measurement campaigns. Research results support safe and efficacious Naval Mine, Undersea, and Special Warfare operations.
