Hybrid-Electric Aviation Technology (HEAT) Demonstration
Abstract
This effort focuses on developing data to assess the viability of meeting future rotorcraft motive and mission equipment power needs through demonstration of hybrid-electric technology up to the aircraft system level. Emphasis will be on analytical tool and technology maturation, identifying hybrid-electric applications through system design and optimization, executing risk mitigation through analysis and test, system integration, and addressing suitability aspects in order to inform and plan future transition into current fleet and FVL aircraft.
