NAVAL NOISE-INDUCED HEARING LOSS (NIHL)

Abstract

The goal of this program is to reduce the incidence of NIHL by nearly 100%. This program employs a total systems engineering approach that includes advancements in medical technology, jet engine physics, personal protective equipments, and mitigation analyses. Similar/related research was previously funded within this PE. This is a new effort in FY 2010 in support of applied research efforts.
