Cloudbreak

Abstract

The CLOUDBREAK project focused on Command and Control (C2) among all Combatant Commands (COCOMs). CLOUDBREAK drove a common “plug and fight” architecture that provides services and consumes data based on the Defense Information Enterprise Architecture (DIEA) and the Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise (DI2E) frameworks. CLOUDBREAK demonstrated capabilities which can be provided as composable services on the Global Information Grid (GIG). Success was achieved when capabilities based on common standards were incorporated into multiple programs of record and other tools to be employed by multiple COCOMs. The CLOUDBREAK program demonstrated mature capabilities in Cyber, Operations/Intelligence, Situational Awareness and Regional Domain Awareness that meet COCOM priorities.
