Multi-System Integration (MSI) / Common Tactical Picture (CTP)

Abstract

MSI transitions to integration of new sensors and tuning, while Common Tactical Picture (CTP) starts with H16 Block III efforts to merge data fusion and sensors from single aircraft to multiple aircraft. CTP represents an incremental approach to accelerating kill chains through multi aircraft sensor fusion and automation. System Configuration Set (SCS) methodology of bundling capabilities and modifications into a single fleet mission computer Operational Flight Program (OFP) continue, but at an increased delivery rate to meet rapid speed to fleet demands. This is being accomplished with an incremental modernization of the F/A-18 & EA-18G software lifecycle, that includes Scaled Agile Framework and Continuous Development & Integration (CCD&I) methodology.
