5) Detection Sensor Technologies

Abstract

Focus of this effort is to develop capabilities to detect and identify chemical and biological threats. This activity includes development of point, remote, or standoff sensors as appropriate, to address both conventional and non-traditional chemical and biological threats. These efforts are being developed to further the detection capability for early warning of contamination exposure to the warfighter. This effort is being separated into five thrust areas starting in FY21: Distributed CB Reconnaissance, Enhanced/Emerging Biothreat Sensing, Expeditionary Analytical Toolkit (ExAnT), Unattended Perimeter Monitoring, and Unconventional Detection Modality.
