AN/SPN-35 Blk I Upgrade

Abstract

This program provides for the development, upgrade, redesign, integration, and testing of the AN/SPN-35C Block I upgrade required to extend the service life and ensure Fleet availability of the system until 2040. AN/SPN-35C is the Precision Approach Radar aboard LHA/LHD class ships and is provides Mode III aircraft recovery capability, ensuring the safe approach and landing of all embarked aircraft during adverse weather & night conditions. The AN/SPN-35C Block I upgrade provides engineering efforts to upgrade, redesign, replace, and support common failure items and obsolete components Subsystem upgrades include but are not limited to the Receiver, Radar Processing Controller (RPC), Main Input/output Processor (MIOP), and Control-Indicators.
