Radiological Health Effects
Abstract
Research will support discovery of one to two Medical Countermeasures (MCMs) candidates to development toward Technology Readiness Leve 6 (TRL-6) in support of transition to the advanced developer. In addition to identifying MCM candidates, this research will provide a fundamental understanding of the effects of radiation exposure. MCM identification will also be supported by the development and characterization on animal models to support FDA compliance, and also the identification and characterization of biomarkers to identify druggable targets and to support characterization of the mechanism of action of candidate MCMs
