Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS)

Abstract

HBTSS is a space-based missile tracking sensor/system program to address warfighter requirements. The goal of this effort is to develop prototype space sensors to: -Detect and track hypersonic threats as well as boosting conventional ballistic missiles in their boost phase of flight -Support MW/MD mission -Support other missions, as capable -Leverage inherent multi-domain capabilities to provide as-capable support to the OPIR Enterprise Recurring activities include: - Constellation analysis and mission management design - Ground Segment Sustainment - HBTSS program management, oversight, and mission support Specific and/or unique accomplishments to each FY are as follows:
