Dialable Effects Munition (DEM)
Abstract
Previously funded JCTD. DEM supports the National Defense Strategy's focus to enhance joint lethality in contested environments. DEM will provide U.S. Central Command and U.S. European Command the capability to modify munition effects while in flight to either increase a munition’s effect on target or to lessen the effect for reduced collateral damage across a wide variety of targets. In FY 2018, DEM designed subsystem technologies and the systems integration plan for a full-scale prototype, designed the preliminary review of the DEM system, and pre-planned the options for a military utility assessment (MUA).
