Abstract

Efforts include: Surface/subsurface reduced signatures; free-surface, subsurface, and propulsor hydromechanics; hull life assurance; advanced ship concepts; distributed intelligence for automated survivability; advanced electrical power systems; air vehicles; air platforms propulsion and power; air platforms survivability and signature control; special aviation projects; Unmanned Air Vehicle/Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UAV/UCAV); environmental quality; logistics; and power generation, energy conversion, and storage. The funding increase in FY 2011 and out reflects increased investment in mobility research.
