Basic Research in Environmental Sciences
Abstract
Basic research in the environmental sciences is needed for the Army to operate effectively because terrestrial and atmospheric conditions and processes affect virtually all aspects of Army activities. The earth's surface environment is a multifaceted and dynamic system, and there is an increasing need for multidisciplinary approaches to address important research questions within the atmospheric and terrestrial sciences.
