Light Weight Tow (LWT) Torpedo Defense System (Navy)
Abstract
LWT will demonstrate an innovative modular towed countermeasure that provides a torpedo defense capability and is optimized for operations in areas not covered by existing systems. Although primarily intended for the Littoral Combat Ship, LWT enables the installation of a torpedo defense system on any vessel requiring the capability, as its operation requires minimal space, weight, and manning.
