Hostile Fire & PreShot Detection for Vehicle Protection Systems (Army)

Abstract

FY 2019 New Start - This project comparatively tests technologies to autonomously detect and locate incoming hostile fire as well as potential threats before a shot is fired. These technologies will increase situational awareness and reduce response times leading to increased lethality and survivability for ground forces, especially in urban environments. Comparative evaluation data will be provided to Program Manager Vehicle Protection Systems to support follow-on procurement.
