Laser Vision/VAMP

Abstract

Design, fabricate, and evaluate a tactical range laser vibrometry sensor in a targeting pod. Leverage ability of active electro-optic sensors to sense micro-displacements of operating machinery in order to measure the resulting frequency spectrum. Assess utility for air-to-ground combat identification. The VAMP program exploits research into advanced algorithms for processing data provided by vibrometry sensors in order to develop and demonstrate prototype pilot Aided Target Recognition (AiTR) software.
