FUTURES DIRECTORATE (FD) / MARINE CORPS WARFIGHTING LABORATORY (MCWL) OPERATIONS (SUPPORT)
Abstract
FD/MCWL Operations (Support) efforts include overall FD/MCWL experimentation doctrine, planning, analysis, data collection, as well as technology transition tracking efforts. Although this category covers several small (less than $500K per FY) efforts being pursued by FD/MCWL, most programs listed below are considered major (valued at $500K or more) or have near real-time operational impact. The FY 2014 decrease in category funding is mainly due to reduced levels of investment in experimentation technical and managerial support as well as results synthesis and DOTMLPF recommendation support. These reductions were made available due to capitalizing on untapped resources. Program investments were then re-reviewed, assessed, and adjusted, resulting in overall level normalization in FY 2015 and beyond.
