WMD DETECTION

Abstract

The Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) in the Navy Strategic Plan (NSP) has directed that the Navy be able to combat Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) at sea and Maritime domain. This activity addresses the development of key technologies for standoff detection of WMD's and component nuclear materials on ships at sea. The program will develop and demonstrate technology for actively detecting fissile material and other weapons of mass destruction. FY 2013 to FY 2014 decrease is due to realignment of funds to high priority requirements. FY 2014 to FY 2015 decrease is due to program completion.
