Abstract
Advanced Naval Materials efforts support several Science and Technology (S&T) Focus Areas, in particular Platform Design & Survivability, and perform research across a broad spectrum of technical areas including: structural materials to increase platform performance and survivability at reduced weight and cost; advanced, high-performance materials for energy systems; corrosion mitigation strategies; high-temperature propulsion systems; and enhanced sonar transducers.
