Shosty
Abstract
Shosty seeks to develop and demonstrate enhanced capabilities for high frequency (HF) over-the-horizon-radar (OTHR) systems. This program will develop techniques to characterize distributed skywave HF radar propagation channels and measure radar backscatter from the surface. System signal processing, modeling, analysis, and over-the-air experimentation will be conducted to assess performance. Technologies developed under the Shosty program will transition to the Services.
