Low Cost Autonomous Classification (Navy)
Abstract
This project will test an Australian-developed signal processing algorithm and sensor based on underwater measurement of acoustic intensity at low frequency near the seafloor. The algorithm has the ability to robustly classify surface and sub-surface targets. The collaborative at-sea evaluation will be done at the Stirling Naval Base, off the coast of Western Australia, with logistics support provided by the Royal Australian Navy fleet.
