Diagnostics and Disease Transmission Control:

Abstract

This effort designs and prototypes new medical diagnostic and surveillance tools for the field, focusing on bedside and field-deployable diagnostic systems and refines interventions that protect Warfighters from biting insects such as sand flies, responsible for transmitting leishmaniasis, and mosquitoes, which transmit a variety of diseases including dengue fever, Japanese encephalitis, and malaria.
