Next Generation Rotorcraft Transmission

Abstract

This effort demonstrates advanced rotorcraft drive technologies with the potential to increase the horsepower-to-weight ratio; reduce drive system noise; reduce production, operating and support costs; and provide automatic component impending-failure detection. The drive system demonstrators for this effort will be applicable to Future Vertical Lift (FVL) platforms.
