Incorporation of Magnesium Backing Plate for Improved Body Armor

Abstract

This project will yield a body armor design with enhanced protection against small caliber threats as well as ergonomic improvements through the inclusion and integration of a lightweight, ultrahigh strength magnesium alloy backing plate.
