Environmental quality technology demonstration and validation: Environmental Toolkit for Expeditionary Operations (USACE)
Abstract
Conduct pilot-scale demonstration and validation studies to determine the effectiveness of basic technologies/ methods developed for rapidly collecting environmental data in the field for the purposes of reducing impact of environmental requirements on installations. Demonstrate the ability of ETEO software to communicate easily with new, commercially available sensors through simple device driver (with minimal or no development). Assess available chemical databases on the new sensor for their ability to detect and quantify environmental contaminants. Demonstrate the operational ETEO software and sensors at designated locations.
