Physiological Monitoring and Modeling

Abstract

The Physiological Monitoring and Modeling activity explores the Biomanufacturing Sciences and Biology, Materials and Warfighter Interfaces. Biomanufacturing research activities addresses biological processes required for the synthesis of materials, including harnessing existing cellular production, isolation and utilization of cellular components or pathways, and modification of cellular systems to develop and optimize novel pathways or products. Biotechnology and bioinspired process research explores the potential of components, biological and otherwise, to activate processes for on-demand control, delivery of a product or package, interrogation of a response, stimulation of a behavior change, and similar actions that may require interfacing across a large range of scales (via organism, organ, cell, protein, etc.).
