Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS)
Abstract
Provide Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS) program oversight to include policies, procedures, plans, reports and budgets to support agency FRCS. - Systems development, inventory, assessment, mitigation and sustainment IAW DoDI 8500.01 Cybersecurity and DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework (RMF) throughout the life cycle of each FRCS. - Manage the cybersecurity activities to protect the FRCS, including vulnerability assessment and management, malware protection, information system continuous monitoring (ISCM), cyber incident handling, and auditing to detect, deter, and mitigate insider threats, IAW DoDI 8530.01 Cybersecurity Activities Support to DoD Information Network Operations. - Oversee the development of FRCS in facilities to ensure cybersecurity is designed and built into the system IAW Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 4-010-06 Cybersecurity Of Facility-Related Control Systems to reduce cybersecurity risk and ensure compliance with applicable National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53 security controls. - Manage the training and development of the FRCS cybersecurity workforce to ensure all personnel are qualified to perform assigned cybersecurity duties IAW DoDD 8140.01 Cyberspace Workforce Management.
