Micro-Smooth Coating System (Navy)
Abstract
Micro-Smooth Coating System evaluates a commercially available coating system in conjunction with standard topcoats to reduce parasite or skin friction drag. This coating offers the potential to decrease fuel consumption, improve flight characteristics, and extend paint coating life. An A-glaze reactive polymer will be evaluated and results will be compared to other commercial products being tested.
