Joint Service Combat Feeding Technology
Abstract
This effort investigates, designs and develops nutrient compositions and stabilization techniques to maximize the warfighter?s physical and cognitive performance on the battlefield. The effort investigates technologies to enhance detection and identification capabilities of chemical and biological threats in foods and develops innovative ration and field feeding technologies to reduce resupply requirements. Work in this area results in increased performance, less food-borne illness, and overall increased readiness of the warfighter.
