Integrated Aircrew Ensemble (IAE)

Abstract

This effort develops an IAE to replace the existing aircrew flight ensemble to improve acceleration protection and mitigate thermal burden. An IAE will replace multiple layers of flight gear such as flight suit, G-suit, survival vest and other equipment used during flight operations. This IAE will improve safety, survivability and performance through the use of modern materials to address the full spectrum of aircrew requirements.
