Viral Disease Threats
Abstract
This effort progresses the most promising vaccine candidates against dengue fever (a severe debilitating disease caused by a virus and transmitted by a mosquito), and hantavirus (severe viral infection that causes internal bleeding and is contracted from close contact with rodents) and conducts FDA-required nonclinical safety and protection testing (laboratory-based) in animals, prepare FDA investigational new drug technical data packages, and conducts clinical testing of candidate vaccines in humans.
