Intelligent Electronic Protect (IEP) Advanced Technology

Abstract

This effort matures and demonstrates hardware and software capabilities that will enable an Assured Position Navigation and Timing (APNT) system to function as a Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) sensor. The IEP enabled APNT system will be able to detect and identify information about jamming and spoofing threats in the Global Positioning System (GPS) environment, protecting units from spoofing and increasing the number and availability of NAVWAR sensors in the field. The proliferation of NAVWAR sensors allows Electronic Warfare Planning and Management Tool (EWPMT) to create a NAVWAR Common Operating Picture with greater accuracy and coverage, allowing Commanders to make more informed decisions about maneuver and allowing for more accurate and successful fires missions.
