3) Emerging Threats
Abstract
Advance the diagnosis of emerging and/or low prevalence but high threat biological agents leveraging novel technologies. Develop threat agnostic tests based on host biomarkers that identify known or emerging bacterial or viral infections. Characterize markers for antibiotic resistance or susceptibility to identify challenging threats and inform treatment decisions. Improve capabilities to identify diverse biological agents that are not well characterized using molecular or immunodiagnostic approaches. These funds support CB Incidence Preparedness Response (CBIPR).
