Extended Range Projectile Technology
Abstract
This effort develops various methods of low cost extended range technologies for 60mm through 120mm mortar. Target acquisition will improve with the incorporation of semi-active laser (SAL), video and GPS Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) state of the art technologies. The warfighter/Command & Control on a PDA and/or computer will be able to see beyond line-of-sight targets and change directions of projectiles while in flight.
