FAR TERM INTEROPERABILITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN (FTIIP)

Abstract

FTIIP included development of Link 16 Digital Air Control (DAC) phase 1 capability to integrate with the next generation fighter (F-35). DAC is the only means available for the F-35 to inject sensor data into the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) common tactical picture in an adverse communications denied environment. DAC phase 1 is a distributed lethality enabler.
